I'm Ashley, a journalism student from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I'm working on an article for a class about Christian music and how young people use it to express/reinforce faith, and the stereotypes/barriers they face, as fans.
I'm trying to get an idea of some of the issues and myths that exist about being a fan of Christian music/bands who have members that openly identify themselves as Christians, and I'd like to talk to as many people as possible. Specifically, I'm looking for fans of Underoath, but if you're not and still want to participate, that's no problem.
If anyone in this community is interested in answering a few questions, you can reach me by either responding to this post, or sending me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org). After we get in contact, I'll send you my questions, and you take it from there. My deadline is this Friday, march 23, so I'd be hoping to get responses some time before that.
In case anyone's wary, I've done this livejournal-mass-interview process before, for an article on tattooing, and one on Canadian television.
Thanks a lot for your help!
(i'm not great with all the fancy lj cuts/tags/whatever, but this request will also be posted to a few other communities)
